Build

Build: founding new AI-native companies

We found and operate new companies from the ground up, together with exceptional teams.

Who it is for

Who Build is for

Many strong companies start as a problem in an industry rather than a pitch. Build is how we work on those.

It is for exceptional people who want to found with a partner: technical founders, domain experts and operators ready for a new venture.

You do not need a finished idea. You do need a strong view of a problem and the energy to work on it for a long time.

What we look for

What we look for

Exceptional builders

People who ship, learn quickly and care about craft.

Domain depth

Years inside an industry, with a sharp view of what is broken.

Technical range

Comfort with models, data and the systems that carry them.

Operating instinct

A feel for customers, cost and the details of running a company.

Candor

Plain talk about risk, doubt and what the evidence says.

Long horizons

A wish to build something that lasts, not a quick exit.

How we work

How we work with the company

We explore ideas together before anything is formed. The aim is to find a real problem where AI changes the economics, not only the interface.

  • Idea exploration. We start with a problem, speak with buyers early and test whether AI can change the economics.
  • Co-founder partnership. We partner with a founder or team as a co-founder. Roles and ownership are agreed up front, in writing.
  • Hiring and go-to-market. We help assemble the first team and reach the first customers.
  • Data, infrastructure and capital. We set the technical base and raise further capital when the work calls for it.

Most ideas stop early. That is the process working, and it keeps our attention on the ones that matter.

What we do not do

What we do not do

We do not announce companies we have not yet built. We do not take on ideas we cannot operate ourselves. We do not ask founders for money or fees. We do not treat a founding team as interchangeable.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an idea to talk to you?

No. A strong view of a problem is enough. Many useful conversations start with a field and a frustration.

Is Build a job or a partnership?

It is a partnership. Roles, ownership and decision rights are discussed early and agreed in writing with counsel.

Can I bring my own idea?

Yes. We explore your idea or ours, and we say plainly which we think is stronger and why.
